Rest in Peace, my friend.īrain Augustyn was a local Phoenix comic book editor and writer. He also had a very quick wit that would keep you on your toes. He always had a kind word for everyone and encouraged comic artists and writers young and old. ![]() He will be sorely missed in our lives, as well as at Phoenix Fan Fusion, and the many comics gatherings in the state. Sadly, Brian left us today (02/01) from complications of a stroke he suffered. Through the years, Brian and Nadine became valued friends. We eventually did have Brian on the show several times. We introduced ourselves to Brian and his wife Nadine, after the show and gave him a card to see if he might be interested in being on the podcast. We immediately took a liking to Brian because of his wit and also the story he told of working for DC and editing The Flash. Brian was his guest on Episode 2 of the show and we happened to be there. ![]() We met Brian through a friend who had invited us to a new local late-night talk show to air on Youtube, Phoenix Tonight, hosted by Russ Kazmierczak. Thank you for stopping by and spending time with us. ![]() This is a different type of post for us here at TG Squared Studios but, I feel compelled to share a bit of our experience with Brian Augustyn as well as give some of his story. ![]()
